Jazz Standard Youth Orchestra (JSYO) is a talent based jazz performance group comprised
of some of the most talented young jazz musicians in New York City. JSYO is a free program that provides exposure to the music industry and the
various aspects of becoming a professional artist.
Not only are the performers musical talents nurtured though performing challenging orchestrations and arrangements, they are given valuable experience in the practical aspects of a life dedicated to music. Through regular performances at the Jazz for Kids program, teaching concerts and community out-reach programs each member examines the various opportunities available to them as professional musicians.
